Family is everything.

It had been a month or so since Penelope's untimely passing. Georgia rushed into Liam's and Sami's shared bedroom, dressed in a sequinned silver mini dress, stilettos, and her blonde hair done up in neat curls. Sami bounced up and snickered with a cheeky glance at Liam when she found her lipstick and bronzer on the toybox beside the door.
"SAMI! LIAM! You DARE try and take my make up again. God knows why you have it!", she screamed, and they could hear her stomp up the two flights of stone steps to her room, and the door slam. Liam moved from in front of his bullet board, and Sami surveyed the portrait of her they had been working on for her upcoming birthday.
Mikey, being a god at art, had sketched an outline of a smiling Georgia's face, and so far, Sami had smeared foundation onto her face, bronzer into the gaps, a smudge of lipstick into her lips, and lipliner for the gaps. They just needed something blonde for the hair and were yet to figure out what, when Catalpa leaped in.
"Hi Catalpa!", they chorussed and stared at her hazel hair, which had been tied into a high ponytail. Catalpa was a freckly girl, and she had never worn makeup apart from when she got her first job as a clown when hse turned 13. As a result, much to pimply Georgia's envy, she looked gorgeous, and her eyebags seemed to suit her in a way no girl could. She smiled at them, and straightened her leather jacket, kneeling down gently. Then she spotted the portrait of Georgia and grinned like a Cheshire cat. Liam hurriedly slammed the door and glared at her. Sami smiled. He was a big boy, as you know, 6 WHOLE YEARS OF LIFE, so he looked up.
Catalpa reached into her pocket and brought out a concealer stick. Sami frowned.
"Why is it yellow?".
Catalpa rolled her eyes and pulled out the stick. It looked like chalk on closer inspection, and Liam saw it wasn't concealer.
"It's CLOWN MAKEUP, you doobs!".
She neatly filled in Georgia's hair, and she glanced at the art in admiration.
"WOAH. That looks so similar to Georgia actually. Now then, here take some red for her dress, and leave her heels snow-white, because her gloves look nice. And her pearls... how is there no color there?! That is SOOOOOOO precise actually. Go, boys!".
They coloured in as Catalpa has said, and then they heard a growl. Ariana entered the room, her fair curls bouncing in a messy bun, and her sparkly scarlett hoodie glimmering in the moonlight. She noticed the looks on their faces and frowned.
"Whats up-"
Then the growl appeared again. Sami stood up, and gulped. Ariana nearly cried - he was trying so hard to be the big boy.
"Me and Ari w - w- will go down to the k - k -kitchens, and t-t-tell someb - body." He patted his brother's shoulder, whispered him to wait, and the pair rushed downstairs. Liam felt quite scared alone. He heard the growl again, and another sound. He had watched it in Mikey's spy films before - the sound of a gun being loaded. Tears began to roll down his cheeks, and he scrambled up the bunk bed ladder and moved to the window.

And before long, there was red on his bedsheets.
