Queenie by Jacqueline wilson

Queenie is an awesome story; it all starts when Elsie Fisher's nan, who she lives with as her mum is a showgirl, takes a tumble at work and starts coughing blood. It turns out she has got tuberculosis and Elsie has it too. So Elsie is sent to the hospital - a horrid place -and there she meets a wonderful snow white cat named Queenie.
This story brought a tear to my eye and the epilogue at the end will make you smile as well. I loved this story with a capital L and I hope you do too. Scourge every bookshelf you can find for this classic; it's utterly awesome.
