The longest whale song by Jacqueline Wilson
The longest whale song is another one of Jacqueline Wilson's literary marvels, full of emotion and the life of an eleven-year-old girl who only has a stepdad who she doesn't even like to look for help too. When Ella's mother is admitted to the hospital after giving birth to little Sam. She is left in a coma and Ella's world is turned upside down. Her best friend Sally ditches her gently for Dory, and Ella finds refuge in the study of whales and another close friend, Joseph, as well as his food-loving best friend, Toby. Ella and her stepdad Jack keep on visiting, as well as with little baby Sam, but the only milestone reached is a sigh when Sam is placed onto her chest. Day after day they try but it doesn't happen again but one day, a week or so after Ella starts giving her an iPod to listen to WHALE SONG, Ella's mum murmurs, "No more moany whales." Ella and Jack start crying in relief and joy and she even starts putting her arms around Sam. The book is emotional and really intresting and enjoyable and I hope you like it!
