Cherry blossom dreams by Gwyneth Rees
As she approaches her teens, life becomes complicated for Sasha. She and twin brother Sean are thrilled about mum's engagement, but it's top-secret as their new step-father is their English teacher, Mr Anderson. She worries that she is drifting apart from best friend Lily, who now hangs out with the cool girls. And she's embarrassed by the crush she has on Raffy, Lily's elder brother.
Raffy discovers that Sasha has access to an empty Victorian property, Blossom House, which became a haven following her father's death. He convinces her to hold a party there, but she panics that it will be trashed.
Divided loyalties, tested friendships, first love, changing home life and family secrets are all contained within this readable and amusing tale about the difficulties faced by adolescent girls. Great read, I'm telling you! I found it a perfect book with humour, romance and it is REALISTIC, which is what we need in stories these days!
I DEFINITELY recommend this book! Thank you for reading I will see you on Monday!
