The Taylor Turbochaser by David Baddiel
When I downloaded this relatively new book, I had read every single one of Baddiel's novels. But it had been at least a year since I finished Head kid, jaw grippingly funny, so I had kinda forgotten what to expect.
The Taylor Turbochaser is all about a girl called Amy, whose parents have divorced, and because of a car accident, a while back is left in a wheelchair. The story begins
Amy's wheelchair malfunctioning, so she ends up going around in circles when she gets the amazing new model!
Amy has always wanted to drive cars. Her dad does, but he's all the way up in Scotland and looks down at Amy because she's a girl.
When Rahul gets hold of her new wheelchair, and Amy orders him to make a car out of it, he does, with disastrous and amazing consequences. They have one motive:
GET TO SCOTLAND!
This amazing novel will make you laugh, gasp, and smile. David Baddiel is the next J.K Rowling! Just without the Hogwarts, or the magic wands, but with ALL THE SKILLS!
